VIDEOGAMES
- When I was younger, and still now I guess, I had an obsession with videogames. So much that on weekends that I'd sometimes wake up at 6am to play a game, to be exact level up in one. There were times where I played
until I had huge blisters on my thumbs. Overall, I think I have an obsession for playing videogames. When will it subside? I hope it will never. The following are a few videogame series which I fancy. Yes, all images
are taken from personal game saves.
Devil May Cry Series
Me and Devil May Cry. I think it's more like an infatuation. I'm not very good at playing the game, in terms of "stylishness" but that's what the entire game really relies on apart
from randomly attacking things, but I am good at playing the game and talking on the phone! As a dedicated Vergil player, although I do admit that I'm better at Dante, I actually bought two copies of Devil May Cry 3 just so I could play as him. But then,
along came that third copy. Yes, they are all different. The normal version is well, normal, the Greatest Hits version enables me to play as Vergil, and the Non Greatest Hits Special Edition version enables me to play as Vergil but without having to look at a non-aesthetically pleasing "Greatest Hits" box.
The Viewtiful Joe thing isn't a game if you were wondering. I just printed that out as the cover of my regular Devil May Cry 3 copy to make it seem like I don't have three copies of it.
戦国BASARA Series
I have to admit that I've only played 戦国BASARA2, but I do own Devil Kings, the English version of 戦国BASARA. I personally prefer 戦国BASARA2 because it's unedited. You get all the historical crack you want. Whether fine with me if Akechi Mitsuhide is a sadistic
albino who "climaxes" when he does a special move in the game. Again, i'm not great at the game. The following is screencaptures of my semi-complete 戦国BASARA2 file. From left to right, the first image is for character usage (Maeda Keiji and Takenaka Hanbei are monsters!), second is for the
number of KOs by one character (Maeda Keiji prevails as monster here), and the third image is hit count. Since the 戦国BASARA series have really high hit numbers in general, it's really nothing. I've seen people do up to 4000, so my meager records are really nothing. I'd expect Maeda Keiji to
be on that list but he's not?
Valkyrie Profile Series
I remember when I was at Toys r Us with my father when I was younger. He was looking at the box for "Valkyrie Profile" and I was all "no dad, buy me Rival Schools. It's better". Today, that PS1 Valkyrie Profile game has more than double its cost, if it is in its complete original form.
Another game, like with Xenogears, I stupidly detered my father from buying.
The one thing I like about the Valkyrie Profile series is that it's different than regular RPGs. No you can't walk absolutely everywhere, it's 2D. In battle, it's the same with the first game but the second the entire arena is yours. These games are actually hard, something which I consider good because
I don't often find a RPG challenging to play.
The three Valkyries, and Lezard Valeth. What more can I ask for? The first screenshot is my idle Valkyrie Profile 2 file. I completed Seraphic Gate 1 1/2 times. Horray for waste of time!
OTHER GAMES...
I'll figure out what other games I want to share...
